  • Autoabi Tallinnas team outside its Lasnamäe base, near the Väo junction where Tallinn Ring Road meets Peterburi Road.
  • Autoabi Tallinnas service van and enclosed trailer outside the building; each battery has a dedicated, strapped compartment on the van's battery rack.
  • Technician replacing the battery of a silver car in an apartment car park; contact grease is applied to the tightened terminals to prevent corrosion.

The name you hear is the name on the technician's ID

An Autoabi Tallinnas dispatcher tells you the technician's name on the phone. At your car, the technician shows a named staff ID with the same name and face shown here. In 2025, our dispatchers, technicians and flatbed drivers attended 7,263 calls in two shifts, an average of 4.04 calls per technician shift.

  • Founder and manager Margus Toomsalu by the office window; service vans use studded tyres in winter.

    Margus Toomsalu

Founder and manager, based here since 2011.

Margus Toomsalu has led Autoabi Tallinnas since founding it in 2011. His areas include charging-system diagnostics, safe work on Tallinn Ring Road and roadside assistance for company fleets. By the end of 2025, he had personally checked the alternator and charging system on 2,873 cars.

  • Senior dispatcher Kristi Tammeorg by the office window; the evening shift keeps a list of garages accepting cars after 18:00.

    Kristi Tammeorg

Senior dispatcher, based here since 2012.

Kristi Tammeorg leads dispatch on the evening shift. For a driver stranded on Tallinn Ring Road, she asks for the direction of travel and nearest overpass or junction. She quotes the final price, including travel, before the van sets off. From 2012 to 2025, Kristi dispatched 28,761 calls, including 3,942 from the ring road.

  • Flatbed driver Arvo Tõnissoo in a reflective work shirt; five turns of cable remain on the winch drum during a pull.

    Arvo Tõnissoo

Flatbed driver, based here since 2013.

Arvo Tõnissoo winches cars grounded in ditches, snow or mud; recovery from a 40 cm ditch takes 20 minutes. He secures cars on the flatbed with straps rated to 2,000 kg over the tyres, never the rims or suspension. From 2013 to 2025, Arvo attended 11,207 calls and winched out 1,108 cars.

  • Lockout technician Priit Timmusk with glasses; he uses a headlamp to keep both hands free when working on locks.

    Priit Timmusk

Lockout technician, based here since 2013.

Priit Timmusk opens locked cars with an air wedge and a 55 cm reach tool, taking 15 minutes for a door with electric central locking. He extracts broken keys in 15 minutes and resets electronic steering-lock actuators on site in 30. Of his 11,524 calls from 2013 to 2025, 6,318 were lockout jobs.

  • Fuel-systems technician Ragnar Tuisk in a yellow vest; he covers a fuel filter with an insulating mat while warming gelled diesel.

    Ragnar Tuisk

Fuel-systems technician, based here since 2014.

Ragnar Tuisk warms paraffin crystals in gelled diesel filters and lines with a hot-air gun in 20 minutes. He bleeds common-rail fuel systems with diagnostic equipment in 25 minutes and drains the wrong fuel before any attempt to start. His 10,611 calls from 2014 to 2025 included 694 gelled-diesel cars, 418 common-rail bleeds and 297 misfuelled tanks.

  • Office manager Sirje Tiidus by the window; items left in flatbed cabs are brought to the office, which calls their owners.

    Sirje Tidus

Office manager, based here since 2015.

For a new-battery warranty claim, Sirje Tiidus finds the battery by registration number, so the customer need not bring a receipt. She corresponds with insurers after accidents and responds to written complaints within 15 days. From 2015 to 2025, Sirje handled correspondence for 1,214 insurance cases and traced 386 warranty-claim batteries by registration number.

  • Battery technician Daniel Tamberg by the window; he checks the battery earth cable's connection to the car body during replacement.

    Daniel Tamberg

Battery technician, based here since 2016.

Daniel Tamberg load-tests batteries on site and replaces one if its voltage drops below 9.6 V under load. On cars with a battery sensor, he registers the new battery in the control unit in 15 minutes and tightens terminals to 5 Nm. From 2016 to 2025, Daniel attended 8,862 calls and replaced 4,207 batteries.

  • Flatbed driver Janek Tiivel in the meeting room; electric cars are put in transport mode before loading.

    Janek Tiivel

Flatbed driver, based here since 2016.

Janek Tiivel loads four-wheel-drive and electric cars onto a flatbed in 35 minutes because manufacturer instructions rule out towing them on their wheels. Four-metre extension ramps help low-clearance cars onto the truck. He transports cars between towns at €1.48 per kilometre. From 2016 to 2025, Janek loaded 2,076 four-wheel-drive and electric cars and moved 512 cars between towns over 44,544 km.

  • Dispatcher Urmas Tilga by the window; he reads the car's registration number back to callers letter by letter.

    Urmas Tilga

    Dispatcher, based here since 2017.

For underground car parks, Urmas Tilga asks for the level, bay number and gate access because phone location does not work below ground. At shift change, he hands each open call to the next dispatcher with the registration number and price already quoted. Of 17,384 calls he took from 2017 to 2025, 1,268 came from underground car parks.

  • Tyre technician Siim Truumaa by the window; he checks valves during a tyre change and replaces cracked rubber valves.

    Siim Truumaa

Tyre technician, based here since 2018.

Siim Truumaa repairs central-tread punctures up to 6 mm with a mushroom plug in 20 minutes. He tightens spare-wheel nuts in a star pattern to 120 Nm and fits C-rated tyres with load index 108 to vans. From 2018 to 2025, Siim completed 3,862 tyre jobs during 7,139 calls, including 1,149 mushroom-plug repairs.

  • Flatbed driver Karl Tuulas in the meeting room; he disconnects the negative battery terminal on an accident-damaged car before loading.

    Karl Tuulas

Flatbed driver, based here since 2020.

Karl Tuulas asks for the insurance claim number at accident scenes and agrees recovery with the insurer before loading. A flatbed cannot enter an underground car park, so he winches the car to the top of the ramp and loads it there. His 5,318 calls from 2020 to 2025 included 803 post-accident recoveries and 347 winch pulls up underground car-park ramps.

  • Technician Rasmus Tammiste by the window; before work on an electric car, he checks high-voltage-system warnings on the dashboard.

    Rasmus Tammiste

    Technician, based here since 2021.

Rasmus Tammiste boosts hybrids and electric cars only through their 12-volt auxiliary battery terminals, without touching the high-voltage system. He then charges the battery on site for 20 minutes at 10 amps with a smart charger. Of his 4,486 calls from 2021 to 2025, 917 involved hybrid or electric car starts and 1,433 involved smart charging.

  • Dispatcher Liisa Toompuu by the window; when a child or animal is locked in a car, she sends the nearest van ahead of other calls.

    Liisa Toompuu

    Dispatcher, based here since 2023.

For fuel calls, Liisa Toompuu asks callers to read the fuel type from the registration certificate so the technician brings the right can: green for petrol, black for diesel. For a lockout, she asks the caller to have a driving licence ready; before handing over the car, the technician compares its VIN with the registration certificate. From 2023 to 2025, Liisa took 6,947 calls, including 512 for fuel assistance.
